What would you do if you won the lotto?

Monday...again! Yikes..weekends moves so fast. Feels like only yesterday I was sitting at the pool, hmm it was yesterday. What would you do if you won the lotto? I would quit my job, invest the money and retire. Some people say they would keep working but no, niet, nein! There is no way I would keep my job. Let some other poor needy bastard have it. My contribution to humanity.

One more week and then schools out. The kids are going to spend some time with their dad. Hopefully that will work out ok and not cause me to much greif and worry. I'm worrying about everything. Such a neurotic parent. I would cause my children some serious mental problems if they knew everything that I worried about. I'm not telling them!

Birthday party, pools, roaches and family

Ok so I've now entered the era of blogging... Since I've done a lot of other things online (like meeting a husband!) I guess it was only a matter of time before I got here. My kids are going to die of embarassment but oh well...

It's Texas size heat here today.. I swear we had reached the 90 degree mark by noon and it went to hell in a hand basket from there. However I am not complaining. I hate winter and truly enjoy the summers here in Texas. It's a do or die kinda thing. Either you love it or you leave it. Some people live here in misery but I'm to much of a comfort creature to live in any form of misery.

One of my daugthers has a birthday party today. Not that many showed up (might be a good thing since she likes her crowd small) and they are right now enjoying the tacos I cooked up for them. I'm sure that will be devoured in a few minutes and then *splash* back in the pool!

Speaking of pools, do you have ANY idea how much work a pool takes??? Yikes!! I've vacumed it today. I try to do this every weekend (or cajole/bribe the kids into doing it) since we are with trees. Trees with LOTS of leaves!! Anyway, it's hard work and I'm tired!

The pest guy came today again. I've seen roaches, several roaches and alive to add to that. Now I'll be seeing dead ones in a few days. Yuck.

Last note of the day. It's my dads birthday today. We called and sang over the speaker phone. It's hard to have them so far away. I miss my family.
